Army Veteran Kulwant Singh Mann Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident During Evening Walk in Panchkula

Panchkula (Haryana): An 83-year-old retired Indian Army officer was killed in a hit-and-run road accident in Panchkula on Friday evening, police officials said.

The victim, Lieutenant General Kulwant Singh Mann (retd.), was on his routine evening walk when an unidentified vehicle struck him on Saketri Road near the BJP office at around 6 pm. The driver fled the scene immediately after the collision.

Local residents found the senior officer lying injured on the road and rushed him to the Command Hospital for emergency treatment. Despite medical intervention, he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday morning.

Police have registered a case and initiated efforts to identify the vehicle involved and apprehend the accused. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
