Chandigarh: The public fallout between Himanshi Khurana and Asim Riaz has taken another turn, with Himanshi responding strongly after Asim appeared to accuse her of using their past relationship for fame and publicity.

The latest exchange follows Himanshi’s recent appearance on a podcast hosted by Paras Chhabra, where she discussed aspects of her relationship with Asim and made allegations about being pressured to change her religion during their time together. Asim has denied the allegation and maintained that he never forced Himanshi to change her faith.

The issue gained fresh momentum after Asim shared a social media message referring to a “fame digger”. Without directly naming anyone, he suggested that such a person could be more interested in a partner’s popularity and public image than in the relationship itself. He also spoke about the years of effort required to build a reputation and criticised the idea of someone benefiting from a name they did not build.

Himanshi Responds With a Strong Statement

Himanshi subsequently posted a detailed response, saying she had consistently tried to maintain dignity while discussing personal matters in the public domain.

She pointed to her earlier discussions about her Bigg Boss experience, spiritual journey and health, saying she had spoken about these parts of her life honestly rather than using them to attack another person.

Addressing the controversy surrounding the alleged conversion, Himanshi said she had never herself described the situation as “forceful conversion” and claimed that the phrase became part of the public narrative through people and sections of the media.

She further said that she felt compelled to respond after her health issues and personal struggles were allegedly being mocked or questioned.

‘Let’s Talk About Everything’

The strongest part of Himanshi’s response came when she challenged the discussion around evidence.

She said that if the dispute was going to be judged on “proof”, she was prepared to share what she described as facts and evidence. She specifically referred to CCTV footage and recordings, including material she said related to the early hours of November 27, 2023.

Himanshi also referred to alleged violence that she said she had experienced and suggested that she was no longer willing to remain silent simply to protect someone else’s public image.

She further claimed that people associated with different production houses and channels had previously helped “cover” matters, but indicated that she would no longer take the same approach.

‘I Have No Reason to Remain Silent’

In her statement, Himanshi maintained that she had shown respect and preserved her dignity throughout the situation and expected similar treatment in return.

She also questioned why sharing her own experiences should invite criticism when other people in the public eye openly discuss their personal journeys.

The latest exchange has once again placed the former couple’s relationship under intense public scrutiny. However, the allegations and counterclaims made by both sides remain part of a public dispute, and the evidence referred to by Himanshi has not been independently examined or publicly established in full.

For now, the controversy continues to unfold on social media, with both statements adding another chapter to the much-discussed history between the two former partners.
