New Delhi: Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare JP Nadda was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Wednesday after undergoing a successful angioplasty procedure. Hospital authorities confirmed that the minister had a smooth recovery following the intervention and was deemed fit to return home.
Nadda was initially admitted to the premier medical facility on August 13 after complaining of physical uneasiness. Upon admission, a medical team in the Department of Cardiology conducted diagnostic evaluations, including a coronary angiography, to assess his cardiac health and arterial blood flow. Based on the evaluation, specialists performed an angioplasty procedure on August 17.
Following the procedure, the Union minister remained under close observation in the cardiology department for post-operative monitoring. In an official release, the hospital administration stated that Nadda experienced a comfortable hospital stay and expressed his gratitude to the attending doctors, nursing staff, and healthcare personnel for their medical care and attention.
