New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has received permission from Delhi Police to hold its proposed protest at Jantar Mantar, according to the organisation’s spokesperson Saurav Das.
In a post on X, Das announced that the police had granted approval for the demonstration, clearing the way for the student-led protest that has gained significant traction on social media in recent days.
The protest, spearheaded by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, is being organised to raise concerns over alleged examination irregularities and to demand accountability from authorities. The movement has drawn support from students and youth across the country, particularly over issues related to competitive examinations and recruitment processes.
Earlier, there had been uncertainty regarding permission for the gathering, with reports suggesting that Delhi Police had not received a formal request. However, the latest announcement by the CJP spokesperson indicates that the necessary clearance has now been granted.
The protest is expected to take place at Jantar Mantar under police supervision, with organisers urging participants to maintain peace and follow all guidelines issued by the authorities.
The development comes amid growing public attention on the Cockroach Janta Party, which has rapidly evolved from a social media campaign into a youth-driven movement focused on education and employment-related concerns.
