Master Classrooms and Startup Room to Guide Aspiring Young Entrepreneurs
Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister, Nayab Singh Saini, will hold a direct interaction with Gen-Z entrepreneurs at Gurugram University on August 21. During the programme, successful young entrepreneurs will not only guide youth aspiring to launch their own startups but will also provide them with information on various aspects, including raising funds and obtaining technical assistance for their ventures.
During a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister at his residence on Wednesday, the scheduled programme was discussed in detail. OSD to the Chief Minister, Virender Badkhalsa, Dr Raj Nehru, Additional Chief Secretary, Dr G. Anupama, A.K. Singh, and OSD, Vivek Kalia, were also present at the meeting.
The Chief Minister said that the programme with Gen-Z would be held without any formalities, with the emphasis on direct interaction with the youth. He said that he would remain among the young participants throughout the programme and interact with them directly.

The officers apprised the Chief Minister that six master classrooms will be set up during the programme, where successful entrepreneurs, as experts, will train groups of 50 youth each on setting up startups and other related aspects. They will also guide them on how a startup can be taken from zero to new heights of success. Certificates will be provided to the youth completing the training. Subsequently, these youth will be linked with MSMEs, where they will gain practical knowledge about startups.
Besides this, a Startup Room will also be set up at the programme, where 60 successful entrepreneurs will guide youth on the nuances of launching a startup. Banks will provide information related to loans, while experts from the Skill University will also impart training to the youth. The programme will be jointly organised by the Higher Education Department, Skill Development and Industrial Training Department, and Industries and Commerce Department.
During the programme, the Chief Minister will flag off two buses under the ‘Yuva Udyami Yatra’. Starting from Gurugram, these buses will travel to every district of the State and create awareness about startups and entrepreneurship among students of colleges, universities, ITIs, coaching institutes and other educational institutions. The initiative will also address the queries of students aspiring to launch startups and provide them specialised guidance and assistance.
The Yatra will continue till December. On the day the Yatra concludes, a major programme for Gen-Z will be organised in December, in which youth who have benefited from the ‘Yuva Udyami Yatra’ will participate.
The Chief Minister directed that the routes of the buses be finalised before the commencement of the ‘Yuva Udyami Yatra’ and educational institutions in all districts be informed about the Yatra well in advance. Students of the institutions to be visited by the buses should also be made aware of how they can benefit from the initiative to transform their startup ideas into reality. He further directed that youth benefiting from the Yatra be registered.
He said that exhibitions should be organised wherever programmes under the ‘Yuva Udyami Yatra’ are held. Banks should also set up stalls to provide information regarding loans and other financial assistance. The youth should also be informed about where they can seek further guidance or information after the programme.
Nayab Singh Saini said that the coming era belongs to new technology, innovation and new thinking, and today’s youth increasingly aspire to establish their own enterprises and create employment opportunities rather than merely seeking jobs. To translate this vision and the dreams of the youth into reality, the Central and State Governments will extend all possible assistance to them, he said.
The Chief Minister said that the programme being organised with Gen-Z in this direction will prove highly significant for youth aspiring to launch their own startups.
