Shimla: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu today laid the foundation stone of a 50-bed integrated AYUSH hospital to be constructed within the District Ayurvedic Hospital premises in Dharamshala.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the present state government was committed to strengthen a comprehensive and integrated healthcare system by combining modern medical services with AYUSH-based treatment methods. The new hospital would enhance healthcare infrastructure in the region and provide people with easier access to integrated healthcare services based on AYUSH systems of medicine.

Later, the Chief Minister inaugurated a shopping complex and entertainment centre at Charan, developed by Dharamshala Smart City Limited (DSCL) at a cost of Rs. 7.50 crore.

The Chief Minister further said that the new centre would increase footfall in the area, creating fresh business opportunities for nearby shopkeepers and small entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to local economic growth.
