Chandigarh: Haryana’s newly procured fleet of 70 Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulances handled 9,273 patient calls between August 1 and September 15, strengthening the state’s emergency response network for pregnant women, newborns and critically ill patients, Additional Chief Secretary, Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Sumita Misra said here today.
Sharing details of the performance of the new ambulances, Dr. Misra said the vehicles have been deployed across all 23 districts and are integrated with the Emergency Response Support System (ERSS-112). Haryana’s referral transport fleet currently comprises 562 operational ambulances of different categories.
“The additions of 70 new ambulances are aimed at ensuring timely and safer transportation of critically ill patients and strengthening pre-hospital emergency care across Haryana,” Dr. Misra said.
