Pakistan Warns India Against Future Military Hostilities Following Operation Sindoor

Islamabad: Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif on Sunday issued a stern warning to India against any future military conflict, pledging a “befitting response” in the event of hostilities. His remarks follow cautionary statements by India’s Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi regarding potential misadventures by Pakistan.

The tensions stem from Operation Sindoor earlier this year, during which India claimed to have destroyed or damaged at least a dozen Pakistani military aircraft, including US-origin F-16 jets. India maintains that Pakistan requested an end to hostilities in May after Indian strikes targeted multiple Pakistani military infrastructures.

Responding on social media, Asif described statements by Indian political and military leaders as a “failed attempt” to restore credibility after a “decisive defeat” in May. He added cryptically that if India were to attempt aggression again, “the score, God willing, will be far better than before,” without elaborating on the earlier reference to a “0-6” score.

As tensions persist, both nations remain on alert, underscoring the fragile security situation in the region.
