New Delhi: A nine-year-old girl studying in Class 3 at Lovely Public School in East Delhi’s Mayur Vihar died after suddenly collapsing inside her classroom on Wednesday. Police have launched an investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to police officials, a PCR call was received at around 9:52 am on November 4, reporting the child’s death. She was subsequently taken to Malik Redix Health Care in Nirman Vihar, where doctors declared her brought dead.
CCTV Footage Examined In Delhi Schoolgirl’s Death
As part of the preliminary investigation, police examined CCTV footage from the school. The recordings reportedly captured the moment when the girl suddenly fell inside the classroom.
Investigators are reviewing the footage and collecting other relevant evidence to establish the sequence of events leading up to the incident.
Cause Of Girl’s Death Yet To Be Established
Police are yet to determine what caused the child to collapse. Officials have not established whether an underlying medical condition or any other factor contributed to her death.
Statements from the girl’s parents and representatives of the school management are also yet to be recorded as part of the inquiry.
