Ferozepur: To manage the anticipated surge of passengers during the festive season, the Firozpur Railway Division has temporarily restricted the sale of platform tickets at Ludhiana and Dhandari Kalan railway stations.

The measure, announced by Paramdeep Singh Saini, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Northern Railway, aims to control crowd congestion and ensure safer and smoother passenger movement within the stations.

According to the division’s notification, the suspension will be in effect from October 16 to October 26, 2025. The move is intended to reduce unnecessary crowding in the station premises and enhance operational safety during the high-traffic period.

Railway authorities have appealed to passengers to cooperate and make rail travel safer and more convenient. Travelers are advised to minimize luggage and drop off or pick up family and friends outside station premises.

Authorities also issued a reminder that carrying crackers or inflammable items during travel is strictly prohibited and urged passengers to follow all railway rules.
