Indore: A tragic fire incident in Indore claimed the lives of seven people after flames tore through a residential house in the early hours of Wednesday, officials confirmed.

According to police, the fire broke out in a home located in the Brajeshwari Annex Colony between approximately 3:30 am and 4:30 am. Emergency teams rushed to the spot soon after receiving information, but by the time the blaze was brought under control, multiple occupants had already succumbed.

An officer from the local police, Kundan Mandloi, said that all seven bodies were recovered from the premises once the rescue operation concluded. Firefighters worked for several hours to contain the flames and prevent them from spreading to nearby structures.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine what triggered the fire. Initial assessments are underway, and officials are examining whether electrical faults or other factors may have played a role.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the locality, with residents gathering near the site as emergency crews carried out rescue and cooling operations. Further details are awaited as investigators continue their probe into the cause of the deadly blaze.
