Chandigarh: Haryana Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa directed officials of the Marketing Board to prepare a drainage project at the earliest for a permanent solution to the problem of waterlogging at Hisar’s Grain Market during the rainy season.
Directions in this regard had also been issued earlier. During the meeting, the Cabinet Minister directed Marketing Board officials to prepare a project for drainage either near Guru Jambheshwar University or through the drain near Rishi Nagar and submit it to the headquarters. He said that after receiving the project, he would personally discuss the matter with senior officials and take the necessary steps towards getting it approved.
During the meeting held with officials and commission agents, the arrangements related to weighing scales at the Grain Market were also reviewed. It was informed that some weighing scales were not functioning properly. The Cabinet Minister directed that all weighing scales be repaired within the next two days, while also enhancing their capacity, so that farmers do not face any inconvenience at the market.
