Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema (Andhra Pradesh): Six people lost their lives and two others were injured in a fire accident at a crackers manufacturing unit in Dr BR Ambedkar Konaseema district on Wednesday, officials confirmed.

Superintendent of Police Rahul Meena stated that the unit, located in Rayavaram, was reportedly licensed. “Six bodies have been recovered. We are verifying their identities. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital,” Meena said, adding that the fire may have been caused due to mishandling at the facility.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep condolences over the incident. He directed senior officials to visit the site and oversee relief operations.

“A fire at the Bana Sancha manufacturing center has caused immense grief. I have spoken with officials regarding the cause, the situation on the ground, and relief measures. Medical assistance for the injured must be enhanced,” Naidu said, pledging full support to the affected families.

Authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire and coordinating rescue and relief operations at the site.
