Pathankot/Ludhiana: Mohan Bhagwat, Sar-sanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will undertake a two-day visit to Punjab on February 25 and 26, with key engagements scheduled in Pathankot and Ludhiana.

Bhagwat will begin his tour in the border district of Pathankot on February 25. He is slated to address a special gathering of former armed forces personnel, where discussions are expected to centre on national security and social issues.

Later in the evening, the RSS chief will participate in a youth conference in Pathankot. During the interaction, he is likely to speak on nation-building, cultural values and the role of youth in shaping the country’s future.

On February 26, Bhagwat will travel to Ludhiana, where he is scheduled to address a civic conference. The event is expected to draw members from various social and community organisations.

The visit is being seen as significant given Punjab’s strategic importance as a border state. Sources said Bhagwat will also review organisational activities in the state during his stay.

Security arrangements are expected to be heightened in view of the high-profile visit.
