New Delhi: The youth-led Cockroach Janta Party intensified its administrative offensive against Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday, demanding his immediate removal following persistent national controversies surrounding the country’s competitive examination framework. The escalating political friction coincides with a reported dip in the physical condition of prominent climate activist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk, who remains on an indefinite hunger strike in the capital. Opposition leaders have underscored that Wangchuk has already shed significant weight, adding unprecedented urgency to their ongoing demonstrations at Jantar Mantar.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke took to social media to directly challenge Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his continued support for the under-fire Education Minister. Dipke expressed serious concern regarding Wangchuk’s rapidly declining health metrics, noting that the reformer has already lost five kilograms since the commencement of his fast. The political group has strongly criticized the union administration for its perceived silence, maintaining that the top leadership must take responsibility for systemic failures and the immense emotional toll inflicted upon the country’s youth.
The opposition’s demands for Pradhan’s immediate dismissal have also been explicitly tied to tragic student casualties reported during recent national examination crises. CJP leadership questioned why the Union Minister has continued to enjoy full institutional impunity despite widespread public outrage and the loss of twenty student lives linked to examination distress. While the demonstration continues to draw substantial public mobilization across major capital checkpoints, the central government and the Union Education Minister have yet to issue a definitive response to the opposition’s ultimatum.
