Faridabad: The Faridabad Crime Branch has arrested a man accused of firing outside YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav’s residence in Gurugram last week. The accused, identified as Ishant alias Ishu Gandhi, was nabbed following an encounter with police late Wednesday night.

According to officials, Gandhi opened fire on the police team during the operation, discharging over six rounds from an automatic pistol. In retaliatory action, the accused sustained a bullet injury in his leg and was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police said Gandhi is the prime suspect in the August 17 firing incident outside Yadav’s house, which had created panic in the area. He was being tracked by multiple teams of the Crime Branch before being intercepted in Faridabad.

Senior officers confirmed that further investigations are underway to ascertain Gandhi’s possible links with criminal networks and whether others were involved in the attack.
