Education Minister mourns demise of Raja Vijyendra Singh

Shimla: Education Minister Rohit Thakur has mourned the demise of former Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Raja Vijyendra Singh. Thakur said that Raja Vijyendra Singh was a respected and experienced leader who made significant contributions to the development of Himachal Pradesh through his long public life. He served in the Cabinet of former Chief Minister late Ram Lal Thakur also. He was elected to the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha in 1977, 1982, 1985, 1990 and 1993 and worked tirelessly for the welfare of the people, especially in the Nalagarh area.

The Education Minister said that Raja Vijyendra Singh was known for his simplicity, dedication and commitment to public service. His valuable contribution to the progress of the state and his efforts for the welfare of the people would always be remembered.

Rohit Thakur prayed for the peace of departed soul and extended his condolences to the bereaved family. He also prayed for strength and courage to the family members to bear this irreparable loss.
