Chandigarh: Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh marked his 42nd birthday on Tuesday by releasing the first teaser of his upcoming international track “Senorita”, delighting fans worldwide. The track, a high-energy Punjabi-Latin crossover, features Colombian superstar J Balvin, hinting at a powerful global musical collaboration.

Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Diljit described it as his “birthday surprise”, highlighting J Balvin as the “pride of Colombia.” The short clip immediately caught attention with its colorful, vibrant sets, pulsating beats, and stylish blend of Punjabi rhythms with Latin vibes, establishing it as a potential global party anthem. The teaser opens with Diljit’s energetic screen presence, followed by J Balvin’s impactful entry, creating an electrifying excitement among fans. The full music video is set for release on January 7, 2026.

Reacting to the teaser, J Balvin wrote “Legooooooooo”, adding to the anticipation. Known as one of the biggest global names in contemporary music, Balvin has won multiple Billboard Latin Music Awards, Latin Grammys, MTV VMAs, and Latin American Music Awards, gaining international fame with the 2014 hit “6 AM.” He has performed at major global festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Tomorrowland, and holds a Guinness World Record as a leader of the second-generation reggaeton movement.

Meanwhile, Diljit is gearing up for his big-screen return with the war drama “Border 2,” directed by Anurag Singh, a spiritual sequel to the 1997 classic “Border” by J.P. Dutta. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana, Sonam Bajwa, and Anya Singh. Earlier this month, the filmmakers released the song “Ghar Kab Aaoge”, a reimagined version of the iconic track “Sandese Aate Hain”, sung by Diljit Dosanjh, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Sonu Nigam.

Produced under JP Films in collaboration with Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, “Border 2” is inspired by the 1999 Kargil conflict and is scheduled for release in cinemas on January 23, 2026.
