Chandigarh: The Department of Art and Cultural Affairs, Haryana, has released the list of selected winners of the State-Level Been Playing Competition, featuring first, second and third prizes along with five consolation prizes.
A government spokesperson said that Been-playing groups from across the State participated in the competition held on September 2 at the Multi Art Cultural Centre, Haryana Kala Parishad, Kurukshetra. Rambir and group have been selected for the first prize, Pradeep Kumar and group for the second prize, and Jaisingh and group for the third prize. Kehar Nath and group, Mahendra Nath and group, Harpal Nath and group, Raju Nath and group, and Pali Nath and group have been selected for the consolation prizes, respectively.
