New Delhi: Delhi residents woke up to warm conditions on Tuesday, with the minimum temperature recorded at 28.4 degrees Celsius as weather officials predicted partly cloudy skies throughout the day.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said the maximum temperature is expected to reach around 38 degrees Celsius, with no major change in weather conditions likely in the immediate hours.
Several weather stations across the national capital recorded varying minimum temperatures in the morning. Palam registered 26.8°C, which was slightly below normal by 0.4 degrees. Lodhi Road recorded 28.2°C, around 2.2 degrees above its usual level, while Ridge recorded a comparatively cooler 24.2°C, which was 2.3 degrees below normal.
Ayanagar reported a minimum temperature of 28.8°C, around 1.8 degrees higher than average for this time of the year.
The weather department has advised that cloudy conditions may provide brief relief from direct sunlight, although warm and humid conditions are expected to continue across the city.
Residents can expect a mix of cloud cover and heat during the day, with temperatures remaining close to the seasonal range.
