Baba Bakala: A man dressed as a Nihang Singh was allegedly shot dead late at night during the Rakhar Punya fair in Baba Bakala, with police investigating the possibility of an old rivalry behind the killing.
The deceased has been identified as Raja Singh, son of Sarabjit Singh and a resident of Miglani village. According to preliminary information, Raja had come to the fair dressed in Nihang attire before the incident took place.
Police recovered his body from an isolated location behind the Baba Bakala Civil Hospital. Officials found bullet injuries on his chest, indicating that he may have been shot from close range. The body has been taken into police custody as the investigation continues.
