It may be recalled that on the occasion of his birthday, Hon’ble Governor Prof Asim Kumar Ghosh had announced the donation of nine ambulances to the Haryana State Red Cross Society to further strengthen its humanitarian and healthcare services. Fulfilling that commitment, the ambulances were formally flagged off today and dedicated to public service. The total cost of the ambulances is approximately Rs 1 crore.

Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble Governor said that the humanitarian activities undertaken by the Red Cross serve as an inspiration to society. He described the initiative of providing ambulances to district Red Cross branches as a significant step towards ensuring timely assistance to people in need.

Governor Prof Ashim Kumar Ghosh observed that ambulances play a crucial role in providing prompt medical support to patients during emergencies. He expressed confidence that the expanded ambulance network of the Haryana State Red Cross Society would bring considerable relief to the poor and needy.

He further stated that his vision is to ensure that every district in Haryana has at least one dedicated Red Cross ambulance so that the organization emerges as a leading institution in delivering humanitarian assistance and emergency services across the State.

The Governor emphasized that these ambulances will be made available free of cost to poor and needy patients in all districts. He also appreciated the efforts of Vice Chairman of the Haryana State Red Cross Society, Shri Ankush Miglani for his vital contribution towards strengthening the organization and enhancing its service delivery. Calling upon all stakeholders to work collectively, he urged them to make the Haryana State Red Cross Society a model humanitarian organization for the entire country.

Speaking on the occasion Ankush Miglani said that the addition of the new ambulances would significantly enhance the Society’s emergency medical response capabilities and ensure timely transportation and healthcare assistance for those in need. He also requested the Hon’ble Governor to consider providing a hearse vehicle to each district branch of the Haryana Red Cross Society.

The Hon’ble Governor further stressed that all activities of the Red Cross should be carried out strictly in accordance with established rules, procedures, and principles to ensure that beneficiaries receive services without any inconvenience. He assured continued support and cooperation from Haryana Lok Bhavan for such humanitarian initiatives in the future.
