New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for Class XII students to apply for verification of marks and re-evaluation of answer scripts following the declaration of board examination results.
Announcing the decision through a post on X, the board said the extension was granted to provide students with additional time and support to complete the application process without inconvenience.
“In the interest of students, CBSE has decided to extend the last date for submission of applications for Verification and Re-evaluation of Question(s) for the Class XII Board Examinations, thereby providing students additional time and support to complete the process,” the board stated.
As per the revised schedule, the deadline has been extended by one day.
The earlier deadline for submitting applications was June 6, 2026 (midnight), while the new deadline is June 7, 2026 (midnight).
CBSE has advised students wishing to seek verification of marks or re-evaluation of questions to complete the process within the extended timeframe.
“Students are requested to take note of the revised schedule and submit their applications accordingly,” the board said.
The extension is expected to benefit students who were unable to submit their applications before the original deadline. It also provides candidates with additional time to review their results and make use of the board’s post-result grievance redressal mechanism.
The verification and re-evaluation process allows students to request a review of awarded marks and seek reassessment of specific answers if they believe discrepancies exist in the evaluation of their examination papers.
