Youth murdered with kirpans in Amritsar, three attackers flee on scooter

Amritsar: A shocking incident has surfaced from the Kot Mitt Singh area of Amritsar, where a young man was brutally murdered late last night. Three unidentified individuals riding a scooter attacked him suddenly with kirpans and escaped immediately after the assault. Panic spread across the locality as soon as the news broke, and residents informed the police without delay.

On receiving the information, ACP Pravesh Chopra and Sultanwind Police Station in-charge Inspector Balwinder Singh Sandhu reached the spot with their team. The officers inspected the crime scene and began the initial investigation. Police have started scanning CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to identify the attackers and determine the motive behind the crime.

The deceased has been identified as Ajaypal Singh, a resident of Kot Mitt Singh, Sultanwind. Preliminary reports suggest that the attackers were wearing traditional blue attire similar to Nihangs, though their real identity remains unclear. Police have intensified the investigation and sealed nearby routes to prevent escape. Multiple teams have been deployed to trace the suspects.
