New Delhi: Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda is in stable condition following an angioplasty performed at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, on August 17, the hospital said in its latest health bulletin on Tuesday.
According to AIIMS, Nadda continues to remain under medical supervision in the cardiology department. Doctors are monitoring his condition following the procedure.
The hospital has not disclosed further details about the angioplasty or specified when the senior BJP leader is likely to be discharged.
Nadda was admitted to AIIMS on the evening of August 13 after experiencing uneasiness. Following his admission, doctors conducted a series of examinations, including coronary angiography and other cardiac-related tests.
He was subsequently kept under observation in the cardiology department as doctors assessed his condition. Four days after his admission, he underwent angioplasty on August 17.
The latest medical update issued by AIIMS on August 18 said Nadda remained stable after the procedure and continued to receive care under the supervision of the cardiology team.
No further information has been provided regarding the exact nature of the procedure or his anticipated discharge date. Doctors are continuing to closely monitor his recovery.
