36 Flood-Hit Schools in Ferozepur to Stay Shut; Others to Reopen from September 8

Ferozepur: Authorities in Ferozepur have ordered that 36 schools located in flood-affected areas of the district will remain closed until further notice. Deputy Commissioner Deepshikha Sharma announced that all other government, private, and aided schools, along with colleges and universities, will reopen in a phased manner.

Teachers have been asked to return to their respective institutions on September 8 to supervise and ensure proper cleanliness arrangements. Regular classes for students are scheduled to resume from September 9.

The schools that will remain closed include several government primary, middle, high, and senior secondary institutions in flood-affected villages such as Tendi Wala, Kalu Wala, Nihala Lavera, Dhira Ghara, Kamalwala Muthian Wala, Ale Wala, Khundar Gatti, and others.

The decision aims to ensure the safety of students and staff while recovery efforts continue in inundated areas.
