Two BSF Officers Hurt in Early Morning Attack in Samba District

Samba: Two Border Security Force (BSF) officers sustained injuries after reportedly being assaulted by local residents in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir during the early hours of Monday.

Officials reported that the incident took place around 1:30 a.m. when the officers—an inspector and a sub-inspector—visited Gujjar Basti Dwarkapuri in the Supwal area for routine investigation. A group of villagers allegedly attacked the officers, causing injuries that required immediate medical attention. The injured personnel were quickly transported to a nearby healthcare facility.

At present, authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the assault. Police have registered the case and launched an investigation to determine the sequence of events that led to the confrontation.

Security measures in the area have been strengthened as authorities work to identify and apprehend those responsible. Officials emphasized that steps are being taken to restore normalcy and ensure the safety of both residents and security personnel.
