Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan): Tragedy struck in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district on Sunday as three men were killed and one was critically injured when their car overturned on Mandrella Road. According to local police, the victims were returning from a bhajan programme in Sonasar when the accident occurred. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle after a stray animal suddenly darted in front of the moving car, causing it to flip and jump several metres before landing in a roadside field.
The impact of the crash was so severe that three of the occupants died on the spot. Authorities have identified the deceased as Vijay, Gaurav, and Sunil, all of whom were residents of Jhunjhunu. A fourth passenger, identified as Jitendra, survived the initial impact but sustained life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a local hospital for primary treatment and was subsequently referred to a medical facility in Jaipur for advanced care as his condition remained critical.
Police officials arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to recover the bodies and clear the wreckage. This accident highlights the persistent danger posed by stray animals on highways in the region, which frequently leads to fatal loss of control for motorists.
