Yamunanagar— A tragic accident occurred early this morning in Haryana’s Yamunanagar district, leaving six schoolgirls injured, three of them critically. The incident took place around 8 a.m. at the Pratapnagar bus stand, where several students were waiting to board buses for school and college.

According to eyewitnesses, a bus traveling from Paonta Sahib to Delhi arrived at the stop. In the rush to board the moving bus, several students slipped and fell. Before the driver could halt completely, six girls were caught under the rear wheels. The impact was severe, with one student reportedly sustaining fatal abdominal injuries while others suffered multiple fractures and wounds.

The injured students have been identified as Aarti from Kutipur village, Archita from Pratapnagar, Muskan from Tibbi, Sanjana from Bahadurpur, and Anjali and Amandeep from Pratapnagar. All were immediately rushed to the Pratapnagar Community Health Center and later referred to Yamunanagar for advanced treatment due to the seriousness of their injuries.

Locals alleged that the bus was still moving when the students tried to board it, leading to the accident. Authorities are investigating the incident, and statements from witnesses and the driver are being recorded.
