A government spokesperson informed that Union Minister Manohar Lal will inaugurate the bioremediation pilot project and launch new initiatives related to environmental protection. A plantation drive will also be organized on the occasion, aimed at increasing green cover and spreading the message of environmental conservation.
It is noteworthy that the theme of this year’s World Environment Day is “Nature-Inspired Solutions for Our Climate and Our Future.” The theme conveys a message of addressing the challenges of climate change, conserving natural resources, promoting biodiversity, and encouraging sustainable development.
The Haryana Government is implementing various schemes and campaigns on the ground with the objective of turning environmental protection into a mass movement. Minister Rao Narbir Singh has been continuously urging the people of the state to plant more trees, promote water conservation, adopt cleanliness, and avoid the use of single-use plastics. The state government’s goal is to ensure that environmental conservation is not limited to government programmes alone, but becomes a broad social movement through public participation, so that a clean, green, and safe environment can be ensured for future generations.
