Chandigarh: A grand publicity campaign is being conducted across Haryana to take the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign to every citizen. Under the campaign, every household and every citizen will be connected so that everyone can be imbued with the spirit of patriotism.

The Har Ghar Tiranga and Vande Mataram Campaign was launched in Jhajjar on Sunday. In Jhajjar district, a publicity vehicle based on the ‘Desh Ke Naam Sandesh’ theme will reach every ward of the city and every village in rural areas under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.

The video van, prepared by the District Administration through the Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages, was flagged off for urban and rural areas of the district with the ‘Desh Ke Naam Sandesh’ theme. Deputy Commissioner Varsha Khangwal wrote her message for the nation on the van and flagged it off. She also inaugurated a selfie point based on the Har Ghar Tiranga and Vande Mataram themes at the Mini Secretariat premises.

A large number of ex-servicemen also participated in the patriotic programme along with the District Administration. By sharing their messages for the nation, they inspired the youth with the spirit of patriotism.

The DC said that the Har Ghar Tiranga and Vande Mataram Campaign is a mega campaign of patriotism, national pride and public participation. Various activities are also being organised across the district till August 17 to create an atmosphere of patriotism. Jhajjar is a district with a large military population, with numerous soldiers serving the nation. Jhajjar is the only district in Haryana where, under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the publicity vehicle will reach citizens in urban and rural areas with the ‘Desh Ke Naam Sandesh’ theme and spread awareness about the campaign.

During the campaign, which commenced at the national level on Sunday, DC Varsha Khangwal called upon the residents of the district to join the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and turn it into a mass movement. Every citizen should ensure their participation in the campaign by hoisting the National Flag with full respect at their homes, offices and establishments.

She said that the campaign’s awareness van would reach different parts of the district, educate the general public about the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign and motivate citizens to hoist the National Flag. Whether in villages or cities, as many families as possible should join the campaign and hoist the Tricolour at their homes on the occasion of Independence Day.

DC Varsha Khangwal called for the extensive participation of public representatives, social and voluntary organisations, educational institutions and the general public to make the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign effective.

She said that all concerned departments and organisations should carry forward the campaign activities through mutual coordination and create awareness among people about respecting the National Flag and the Flag Code. The Tricolour is a symbol of the nation’s unity, integrity and pride.
