Fire & Emergency Services to Receive Major Boost: Revenue Minister Vipul Goel

Chandigarh : A meeting of the Departmental High Power Purchase Committee was held under the chairmanship of Haryana Revenue and Disaster Management, and Urban Local Bodies Minister, Sh. Vipul Goel. School Education and Higher Education Minister, Sh. Mahipal Dhanda and Additional Chief Secretary, Dr Sumita Misra also attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the committee approved the procurement of 26 vehicles to strengthen the Fire and Emergency Services under the Revenue Department. These vehicles will be deployed across various districts to enhance the department’s firefighting and emergency response capabilities, ensuring faster and more efficient services for citizens.

The committee was informed that the fleet will include utility vehicles, recovery vans, and command and control vehicles. The total estimated cost of the procurement is Rs.2,91,71,000, and the vehicles are expected to be delivered to the department within two months. Director General, Fire Services, Sh. Shekhar Vidyarthi, Special Secretary, Finance Department, Sh. Manoj Kumar and officers from the Disposal and Supplies Department were present during the meeting.
