Moosa: The ancestral village of Moosa in Punjab’s Mansa district witnessed an outpouring of emotion and remembrance as fans, political leaders and members of the Punjabi music fraternity gathered to mark the fourth death anniversary of Sidhu Moose Wala.
Special religious prayers and the concluding ceremony of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib recitation were organised in memory of the late singer, drawing thousands of admirers from across Punjab and neighbouring states. Devotees visited the memorial site throughout the day to pay floral tributes and honour the legacy of the artist, whose music continues to enjoy immense popularity worldwide.
Several Punjabi singers and public figures were present during the commemorative programme, including Gulab Sidhu and Balkar Ankhila. Supporters could also be seen chanting slogans and singing Moose Wala’s songs as a tribute to the late musician.
Speaking on the occasion, Moose Wala’s father thanked fans for their continued support and emotional connection with his son. He said the love shown by people over the years reflects the impact the singer had on Punjabi culture and youth.
He also encouraged young people to remain united and work positively for society while remembering Sidhu Moose Wala’s contribution to Punjabi music and identity.
The district administration and local authorities had made elaborate arrangements for crowd management and security due to the large gathering at the village. Volunteers and organisers also arranged food and water facilities for visitors attending the memorial event.
Sidhu Moose Wala was killed in May 2022, and since then, his songs and public image have continued to resonate strongly among fans across India and abroad.
