Two-Year-Old Killed After Being Run Over by JCB in Mohali’s Nayagaon Area

Mohali: A tragic accident claimed the life of a two-year-old child in the Singhadevi locality of Nayagaon, Mohali, on Wednesday evening, leaving the area in shock and grief.

According to initial reports, the toddler was run over by a JCB machine. Witnesses said the heavy vehicle’s tyre passed over the child’s head, leading to his death on the spot. The sudden incident created panic in the neighborhood, with residents gathering at the scene soon after.

The child’s mother was reportedly inconsolable after the devastating loss and is said to be in deep shock. Following the accident, the JCB driver fled from the location.

Local residents informed the Nayagaon police station, after which a police team reached the spot and began an investigation. The child’s body was taken into custody and kept at the mortuary of Kharar Civil Hospital for further procedures.

Police officials said that efforts are underway to trace the driver and determine the exact circumstances surrounding the accident. Further investigation is ongoing.
