Mansa (Punjab): In a shocking incident, Chandan Jindal, city president of the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) in Mansa, was attacked with swords inside his home late Tuesday night. The assailants left him severely injured before fleeing the scene.

Jindal was initially rushed to Mansa Civil Hospital but later shifted to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala after his condition deteriorated.

According to Ankush Jindal, president of the Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) Malwa Zone, the attack stemmed from a long-standing rivalry with a neighbor. The dispute reportedly began after the neighbor installed a CCTV camera pointed toward Jindal’s house, fueling ongoing tensions.

Police said a group of armed men took advantage of the situation and stormed Jindal’s residence at midnight, launching a brutal sword attack. Law enforcement teams soon reached the spot and began an investigation. Officials confirmed that efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the accused.
