Ludhiana (Punjab): Renowned Punjabi singer and film personality Amar Noori has allegedly received a death threat from an unidentified caller, triggering concern and a police investigation in Ludhiana.

According to sources, Amar Noori received a phone call from an unknown number in which the caller introduced himself as “Inspector Gurmeet Singh.” The caller allegedly warned her that her son, who is active in the music industry, should immediately stop pursuing singing. The caller further threatened serious consequences if the warning was ignored.

Shaken by the call, Amar Noori approached the police and filed a formal complaint. Acting swiftly, the police registered a case against an unidentified individual and initiated an investigation to trace the source of the threat.

Confirming the development, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mohit Singla said that call detail records are being examined and efforts are underway to track the location of the number used to make the threat. He added that the police are also verifying whether the caller is a genuine police official or someone impersonating an officer to intimidate the singer and her family.

Police officials said further action would be taken once the identity of the caller is established. The investigation is ongoing.
