Ludhiana: Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains on X announced strict action against Dasmesh Public Senior Secondary School in Mehdoodan, Ludhiana, terming it a “ghost school” that allegedly existed only on paper.

In his post, Bains said the school’s recognition has been withdrawn and criminal proceedings have been initiated against those responsible for endangering students’ futures through alleged fake admissions and irregularities.

He asserted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the government will not allow any compromise with education standards.

“ No ghost schools. No fake admissions,” the minister wrote, reiterating the state’s zero-tolerance stance on violations in the education sector.

Officials indicated that further inspections and action may follow if similar discrepancies are found elsewhere.
