Northern India Experiences Early Winter Chill; Temperatures Drop Across Punjab, Haryana, and Kashmir

Chandigarh: Northern India is gradually feeling the onset of winter, with temperatures dropping sharply from the Kashmir Valley to the plains of Punjab and Haryana. Srinagar and most parts of Kashmir have recorded minimum temperatures below freezing, while night temperatures in the plains continue to decline.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to remain dry over the next few days. However, a fresh western disturbance is likely to become active around November 27-28, which could intensify the cold further.

Punjab and Chandigarh are witnessing dry weather today, with both daytime and nighttime temperatures remaining low. The average maximum temperature has decreased by 0.1 degrees Celsius, nearing normal levels. Bathinda recorded the highest temperature at 28.1 degrees Celsius, while Adampur saw the lowest at 6.0 degrees Celsius.
