BARNALA — Unidentified assailants opened fire outside the ancestral home of popular Punjabi singer Gulab Sidhu in Pharwali village, Barnala district, late Saturday night.
According to local reports, the armed intruders fired approximately seven to eight rounds targeting the property before fleeing the scene under the cover of darkness. No injuries have been reported so far, though the gunshots caused panic among residents in the area.
Local police rushed to the spot following the incident to secure the premises and collect forensic evidence, including spent bullet casings. Authorities have initiated an investigation and are scanning nearby CCTV footage to identify the shooters and determine the motive behind the attack.
