Ludhiana: A tragic accident struck the Dharmapura area on Tuesday when a sevadaar died and three others sustained serious injuries while performing seva at a local gurdwara.
The incident occurred near Shingar Cinema, where volunteers were changing the cloth of the Nishan Sahib. During the process, they accidentally came into contact with a live electric wire. The powerful shock claimed one life instantly and left three others battling critical injuries.
Eyewitnesses described scenes of chaos and fear as the congregation present at the gurdwara watched the mishap unfold. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors confirmed their condition as serious.
The local Sikh community has been deeply shaken by the incident. Prayers and condolences are being offered for the departed sevadaar, while hopes remain strong for the recovery of the injured volunteers.
