Apollo Tyres Becomes New Sponsor of Indian Cricket Team, Signs Deal Till 2027

New Delhi: Apollo Tyres has officially taken over as the new sponsor of the Indian cricket team, replacing Dream11. The tyre major will spend nearly ₹4.5 crore per match, which is higher than the ₹4 crore per match paid earlier by Dream11.

According to a BCCI official, the contract will run until 2027 and cover 130 matches during the period. “The agreement with Apollo Tyres has been finalized, and we will make an official announcement soon,” the official told PTI on Tuesday.

The Indian team played the Asia Cup without any sponsor after the contract with Dream11 was terminated due to the implementation of the Online Gaming Act 2025. The law banned several real-money gaming platforms, including Dream11, forcing BCCI to cut ties.

Earlier, on September 2, BCCI floated tenders for new sponsorship bids. The board clearly stated that brands associated with alcohol, tobacco, betting, real-money gaming (except fantasy sports), cryptocurrency, pornography, or any activity against public morality would not be eligible.

Dream11 had signed a three-year deal worth ₹358 crore with BCCI in 2023. However, the government’s ban on real-money gaming platforms brought that partnership to an early end.
