Ludhiana Factory GM Booked on Rape Charges After Woman’s Complaint

Ludhiana: Police have registered a case against the General Manager of Sports King factory, located on Sahnewal Road, after a woman accused him of rape.

The complainant, identified as Jyoti Arora, alleged during a press briefing at Ludhiana Civil Hospital that she was drugged and sexually assaulted by GM Pradeep Mishra. She stated that she had been seeking employment and had received Mishra’s contact number from her cousin brother.

According to her statement, Mishra invited her to a private hotel on Sahnewal Road for a job interview. There, she alleged, he offered her a cold drink laced with intoxicants and later raped her. When she regained consciousness, she claimed Mishra gave her cash and attempted to silence her by promising benefits, including a salary of one lakh rupees.

The woman further said she was dropped off at Ferozepur Road in an auto after the incident. She later went to Ludhiana Civil Hospital along with relatives, where she narrated the incident to police. Based on her statement, a case was filed and investigation has begun.

The survivor, married for six years, appealed to the authorities for justice. Police officials confirmed that the matter is under probe.
