Chief Minister engages with industry leaders ahead of Haryana Budget

Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the forthcoming State Budget will be dedicated to the welfare of every citizen and all sections of society. He said the process of budget formulation is not being confined to closed rooms; instead, the State Government is ensuring participation of all stakeholders so that a truly inclusive and welfare-oriented budget can be presented.

As part of the ongoing pre-Budget consultation meetings, the Chief Minister on Friday held a direct interaction with representatives of the industry and manufacturing sector at Surajkund in Faridabad.

Nayab Singh Saini said that industries are developing at a rapid pace in Haryana and large industrial units are continuously choosing the State as their destination. Keeping this in view, the State Government is formulating new policies to create a better industrial ecosystem. He assured that there would be no shortfall in budgetary provisions for industrial development. The Government has set a target that the upcoming Budget should be increasingly industry-friendly so as to strengthen the State’s economy and contribute towards achieving the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. He added that the purpose of such platforms is to realize the spirit of participatory democracy and participatory governance so that the pace of Haryana’s development can be further accelerated.

71 suggestions from pre-Budget consultations implemented in last year’s Budget

The Chief Minister said that the Haryana Government had also organized pre-Budget consultation meetings last year, which witnessed detailed and meaningful deliberations, and 71 suggestions received during those consultations were directly incorporated into the Budget. He said that the Industry and Labour Department forms the backbone of Haryana’s economy. Keeping this in mind, a provision of approximately Rs. 1,951.43 crore was made for this department in 2025–26, out of which Rs. 873.51 crore has already been spent.

Several decisions taken for industrial growth

Nayab Singh Saini said that the State Government has taken several decisions keeping industrial growth in view. These include regularization of unauthorized colonies, simplification of land allotment procedures in industrial areas, establishment of new incubation centres, expansion of the Textile Policy, approval of projects under the PADMA Policy, and setting up of ETP plants in industrial areas in the direction of zero waste and zero water wastage. He said that the valuable suggestions of stakeholders, their understanding, and strong departmental coordination have played a major role behind these achievements.

No compromise in Budget provisions for industrial development

The Chief Minister reiterated that there would be no compromise in Budget provisions for industrial development. The Government’s aim is to ensure that the upcoming Budget strengthens employment generation, investment, innovation, and self-reliance. He assured the people of the State that no stone would be left unturned in making adequate budgetary provisions for industrial growth, ease of doing business, and investment promotion. He appealed to all stakeholders associated with the Budget to share their valuable suggestions through the AI chatbot so that the best ideas can be incorporated into the Budget.

Take pledge to build ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Haryana’

Narendra Modi has taken a pledge to make India a developed nation by 2047. He called upon everyone to make collective efforts in this direction and to take a pledge to build a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Viksit Haryana’. He added that there is immense potential for development in the Faridabad and Palwal regions even today. The process of purchasing land through the e-Bhoomi portal has been initiated in villages Sulheda, Bagpur, Hasanpur, Mohna and Chhainsa for setting up a new IMT. He further informed that land has been finalized for labour housing for the welfare of the working workforce and the tender process is underway. The Government is also considering the Defence Corridor. He said that industrialization in Haryana began from Faridabad, which has a strong manufacturing ecosystem.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also paid rich tributes to Raja Nahar Singh on his martyrdom day. He said that it is a matter of pride for Faridabad that Raja Nahar Singh was born on this sacred land.
