Jalandhar: The Aam Aadmi Party is preparing for a major organisational push with a large-scale meeting scheduled in Jalandhar on Wednesday, where more than 1,000 field observers are expected to gather alongside several party legislators.
The event is being seen as a significant demonstration of unity and preparedness as the party gears up for the upcoming Assembly elections. It also comes at a time when the party is dealing with internal challenges, including the recent shift of seven out of its ten Rajya Sabha members to the BJP.
According to party insiders, the observers have been playing an active role on the ground, visiting villages and urban wards to reinforce the party’s structure and expand its reach. Their presence at the Jalandhar meeting is expected to further sharpen coordination and align grassroots efforts with the party’s broader political strategy.
A senior leader, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the observers would continue to focus on strengthening local networks and ensuring that government initiatives are effectively communicated to the public. The leadership is likely to emphasise sustained engagement with voters and consistent messaging in the run-up to the elections.
Top figures, including Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and the party’s state affairs in-charge Manish Sisodia, are expected to address the gathering. They are likely to highlight key policy initiatives such as improved irrigation through canal water distribution, the rollout of universal health insurance, and proposed financial support schemes for women.
Party representatives will also be instructed to accelerate ongoing efforts, including the issuance of health cards and the registration process for beneficiaries under the Mukh Mantri Mawan Dhiyan Satkar Scheme.
Leaders describe the meeting as part of a broader, ongoing organisational exercise aimed at reviewing progress and refining future plans. By bringing together observers and elected representatives, the party hopes to enhance coordination, strengthen its grassroots presence, and ensure that its governance agenda reaches voters effectively.
