Didwana: Four people, including three members of a single family, lost their lives on Wednesday morning following a head-on collision between a passenger car and a dumper truck in the Nawa area of Rajasthan’s Didwana-Kuchaman district. The deceased were identified as 46-year-old Laxman Singh, his 45-year-old wife Tulsi, their 20-year-old daughter Sheetal, and the car’s driver, Ramkishan. Tulsi served as an auxiliary nurse midwife (ANM) stationed at the Kaseda sub-health centre in the district.

According to district police authorities, the impact of the crash was so intense that the car was completely mangled, causing all four occupants to succumb to their injuries on the spot. Local residents rushed to the crash site to assist emergency personnel in extricating the victims’ bodies from the wreckage, which were subsequently transferred to a nearby government hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations.

The driver of the heavy dumper truck abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene immediately following the crash. Police officials confirmed that an investigation has been registered and specialized search teams have been deployed to track down and apprehend the absconding driver. Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed deep sorrow over the fatal incident, extending his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
