Farmer Dies After Being Dragged by Vehicle in Suspected Hit-and-Run Tragedy

Rangareddy: A tragic road accident claimed the life of a farmer in Telangana’s Rangareddy district after he was allegedly struck and dragged by an unidentified vehicle that fled the scene.

The incident occurred in Sardar Nagar village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Pahadi Shareef police station. According to police officials, the victim was hit by an auto-rickshaw, which reportedly knocked him down and dragged him for some distance before speeding away.

The injured man, later identified as Amboji Yadaiah, suffered severe head trauma in the incident. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment but succumbed to his injuries while undergoing medical care.

Pahadi Shareef police said they are examining CCTV footage from the surrounding area to confirm the involvement of the suspected vehicle and trace the driver responsible. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.

Authorities have appealed to residents to come forward with any information that could help identify the vehicle and bring those involved to justice.
