The exercise will also cover Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu. It aims to ensure that all eligible citizens are included in the voter lists, with particular emphasis on young and first-time voters.

The revision will also allow people who are set to turn 18 on April 1, July 1 or October 1, 2027, to submit advance applications for enrolment.

Draft Voter List To Be Published On November 30

According to the Election Commission’s schedule, the draft electoral rolls will be published on November 30. The final electoral rolls are scheduled to be released on January 21, 2027.

The exercise is intended to update voter records and provide eligible citizens an opportunity to register ahead of the next electoral cycle.

ECI Directs States, UTs To Ensure Adequate Resources

The Commission has directed the chief secretaries of the concerned states and Union Territories to ensure that sufficient manpower and resources are made available for the smooth conduct of the revision exercise.
