New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has filed a chargesheet under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) against popular singer Fazilpuria (Rahul Yadav) and YouTuber Elvish Yadav.
According to the agency, Elvish Yadav, who runs the YouTube channel Elvish Yadav Vlogs, uploaded a video featuring protected wildlife and generated revenue of Rs 84,000, which has been classified as proceeds of crime (POC) and seized by the ED.
The agency has also attached assets derived from POC, including agricultural land worth Rs 50 lakh belonging to Fazilpuria, a fixed deposit of Rs 1,24,067.52 with Sky Digital, and a fixed deposit of Rs 84,000 in Elvish Yadav’s name with ICICI Bank.
The ED alleges that both individuals used protected wildlife for commercial gain and knowingly employed POC. They have been charged under Section 3 of the PMLA and face penalties under Section 4.
Elvish Yadav had previously attracted attention in connection with the Noida snake venom case. He was arrested by Noida Police in March 2024 under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and for criminal conspiracy under Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code. He was later granted bail.
