AJNALA — A somber atmosphere has descended upon the village of Miadian following a horrific road accident on the Ajnala-Chogawan road on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, which resulted in the instantaneous death of a local resident. The victim, a stonemason by profession, was returning home from Harike Pattan in Tarn Taran district when the tragedy occurred.
According to eyewitness accounts and family members, the victim’s nephew had travelled to Harike Pattan on a motorcycle to bring his uncle back to the village. As the duo reached the Chogawan Road stretch near Ajnala, a recklessly driven, high-speed truck reportedly swiped their motorcycle from the side.
