Palamu (Jharkhand): The naked body of a 32-year-old man, identified as Vinit Tiwari, was recovered with multiple injury marks on Sunday morning in the Palamu district of Jharkhand. The discovery near Jorkat comes only hours after the victim was allegedly abducted from the Redma area on Saturday night. According to senior police officials, the abduction was carried out by individuals traveling in four separate vehicles, signaling a coordinated effort that has sent shockwaves through the local community.
Superintendent of Police Kapil Choudhary stated that a rescue team was deployed immediately after receiving reports of the abduction on Saturday night. Despite these efforts, the victim was found dead the following morning. Preliminary investigations suggest that the killing may be the fallout of a long-standing land dispute. The victim’s parents have formally lodged a complaint naming two individuals, Pradip Tiwari and Dilip Tiwari, as the primary suspects behind the abduction and subsequent murder.
The district police have launched a massive manhunt to apprehend the named accused. SP Choudhary informed the media that while the initial motive appears to be property-related, the full extent of the conspiracy and the exact cause of death will only be clarified once the suspects are in custody and the post-mortem report is finalized. The incident has highlighted concerns over rising violent crimes linked to land litigations in the region.
